Who cares about the labels? It’s about the concepts and the thinking way behind it.

Working in the Frame Innovation book as we speak. Conceptual, for a non-designer such as myself, it is not the easiest book to read and comprehend I must admit. But if you have more miles to your reading list you might want to give it a try.

I must say that reading the Tim Brown book gave me a lot of ‘A-ha’ feeling as I was going through it. A lot of the concepts in there sound familiar if you have been reading other design thinking stuff previously.

Om het weekend te eindigen ook nog maar even Hamlet door het RO theater meegenomen.

Wat heb ik ontzettend moeten lachen en genoten van de NL teksten op grote nummers van Queen. Petje af voor Alex Klaassen die de liedteksten verzorgde. Dat moet echt een enorme uitdaging zijn geweest om dat passend en metend te krijgen.

Vooral de eindscene op het kerkhof ( geen spoiler alert want dat zit al in voorstelling zelf… πŸ˜‰ is fantastisch.

Kan niet wachten tot de RO versie van Repelsteeltje in dec 2019. #present #rotheater #Queen #SomebodyToLove

Creative Leadership Program @Philips Amsterdam

It was a very interesting day again with the team of Creative Leadership program, formerly the DesignersDNA network. (by invitation only, πŸ˜‰

We get together every 2-3 months with representatives of large corporates like Philips, ABN, AkzoNobel etc. to discuss pressing issues that live inside various corporations.

The guest company can bring forward a specific challenge which we can try start solving with theΒ  group that is present. Every now and then this will bring a day with great new insights, ways to innovate and in general always an exchange of thoughts with like minded people around the subject of design thinking.

We went out into the street to test certain campaign assumptions on complete strangers and came back in with a lot on new input on products, marketing, consumers, price and needs.

A day well spent….
